Kayte is a lawyer, nationally accredited mediator and has worked in the creative industries business for 25 years crafting communications. Kayte has over 25 years experience in business as an owner, manager and consultant.

She likes people! And is passionate about helping people find their voice, whether that be physically through vocal coaching and presentation training or through advocacy and believes everyone deserves the right to speak and the right to be heard, appreciated and understood.

Her creative career has spanned the areas of professional acting, writing, directing and producing Australian film and theatre. Her credits include working and performing with David Williamson and she was artistic director of Theatre S regional touring company. Kayte was a talent agent for many years and has trained and managed actors, models and been a voice coach for more that 25 years.

Kayte has degrees in law and commerce. Her legal experience is in the areas of corporate law, media & broadcasting, IP and employment and family law. Kayte’s Commerce majors and areas of expertise lie in human resources management and business economics. She also holds, qualifications in effective communication and teaching with Trinity Guildhall London. She has worked with radio presenters, CEO’s, sales people, developed media training programs and taught presenting to camera, working with casting directors and professionals in both stage and film as well as corporate executives to improve their presentation and communication skills. While in Queensland Kayte was a recognised creative industry business leader and treasurer of the Sunshine Coast Creative Alliance working in economic development to broaden the creative industry base and regularly consulted with State and Regional economic development.

Currently Kayte  owns and operates the Acting and Communication Academy at the prestigious MLC School and Trinity Grammar Schools in Sydney, delivering a diploma program in performance, teaching & effective communication. This work extends to consulting and curriculum design in the area of gifted and talented and presentation to other educational institutions.

Kayte is Director and Founder of Voice Consultants & Advocates providing meditation, dispute resolution and effective communications strategy for workplaces and individuals. Her background in theatre and in crafting an audience’s perceptions and emotional responses translates to the theatre of business. It is these skills Kayte applies in her professional training and consulting to deliver a very unique approach to effective communication.

In 2017 Kayte launched Voice Lawyers a firm dedicated to helping people find a voice, providing effective and well communicated solutions in the areas of business, employment and family law.

Apart from her business pursuits Kayte has been involved in developing youth suicide prevention programs, community boards for young people and the arts, mentoring projects with young women and assisting women rebuilding after domestic violence.
